Skipping by... ~ Peachy Keen Challenge

Hi Crafty Peeps! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Are you ready for another Peachy Keen Challenge?

This week we have a sketch challenge for you.

THE CHALLENGE
Create a card or layout of your choice following the sketch provided.
We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!
Guidelines:
- Design must be new
- Link up by 8/29 - 11:59 pm EST

For inspiration I decided to create a gift card holder/ note holder.

I had an extra tag pocket left over from a project I did earlier this week and decided that it would work perfectly for this challenge.

I cut the pocket from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More. I, then, decorated it using PK-125 Recess Jump Rope Girl and papers from the March Peachy Picks kit.

I colored this little girl with my Copics and paper-pieced her dress.

I thought this could be a cute way to send a note so I grabbed my PKSC-08 August 2012 and stamped the notebook page and and mounted it on some patterned paper.

Tuned out cute, didn't it?

Make sure to check out the Peachy Keen Challenge page to see all the peachy projects my design team sisters have created.

I hope to see you join us!

Have a great weekend!
Happy Crafting!!

Just For You! ~ with Scrappy Moms Stamps

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's Tuesday and time for another Terrific Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Moms Stamps!

This week's challenge is "Back to School."

I know many of you are sending the kids back to school this week and we wanted to give some inspiration for the start of the school year.

I thought it would be fitting to make a gift card holder that could be used as a teacher gift, helper gift, or reward for a job well done.

This was fast and simple to make.

The gift card holder was made using the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge that was a free download for the Gypsy.

I sized it to fit a gift card. I then used the blackout feature as I don't like the tick marks. This would be great to make with double-sided cardstock but I don't have any that was large enough for this project. I cut the pocket tag from Kraft and then lined it with a smaller tag.

My patterned paper is My Mind's Eye "Fine and Dandy Boy." I love the colors in this stack!

I choose a sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Dancing in Circles" set. I used a 1.25 inch circle punch to cut it out and a 1.5 inch scallop punch and layered them together. I added a star that I cut from the Chore Chart Cricut Lite cartridge.

To finish things off I added a boy made from The Twinery "Lemon Drop" Baker's Twine that you can, also, purchase from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

This was so fast that you could easily make a few of these in a short period of time.

I hope you will join us this week. I cannot wait to see all your school projects!

Get over to Scrappy Moms Stamps and link up!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

Sweet as you are! ~ PKS Inspiration!

Hi Peachies!Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's my turn to post on the Peachy Keen Blog and I have a cute gift bag to share.
I love buying plain kraft bags and decorating them to make them look extra special for the recipient. Peachifiying them is always fun!

I love Peachy Keen Stamps faces! My cherries were on the small size but the faces from PK-123 Darren and Laura Lee worked perfectly. The faces are looking at each other, isn't that just too cute!

I chose a sentiment from PK-106 With a Cherry on Top! This set has a lot of interchangeable sentiments that give you a lot of options.

Other items used:

Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge
Country Life cartridge
My Mind's Eye "Twinkle Twinkle Little Girl"
My Mind's Eye "Fine and Dandy Girl"
Ranger Glossy Accents
Ranger Distress Ink "Tea Dye"

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

Aged to Perfection!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a card that I made for my father-in-law's 87th birthday. He has come to enjoy getting handmade cards from me and so I HAVE to make them for him. :)

I know many of you struggle with male cards just as I do. Not only is it a challenge for me to make a male card, it is also a challenge to come up with an idea for my father-in-law that I have not already done.

The phrase, "Aged to Perfection," kept going through my mind and so that is how this card came about.

These aren't the best pictures but I think you get the idea.

Here is what was used:
Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge ~ wine
From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge ~ cheese ( I didn't used the swiss layer )
Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge ~ sentiment mat and shadow
Fiscar's edge punch
Echo Park Papers
Sentiment is computer generated
Acetate for the top layer of the wine bottle

Well, there you have it! I hope it has given you an idea to use for a future card.

Thanks for stopping!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

Don't Worry! ~ Peachy Keen Inspiration

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I have some more Peachy Keen inspiration.

I made this card for Kathy's sketch challenge on the Peachy Keen Connection. I used the brand new Peachy Keen August Stamp of the Month, PKSC-08 August 2012 and the August Peachy Pick's Kit. The apple is from the August SOTM and the sentiment is from PK-07 July 2012.

I created a hidden spot by cutting another circle and attaching it with a brad. I, then stamped and paper-pieced  another apple and worm from the August Stamp of the Month.

Other items used:
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge ~ scallop and circle
Fiscars edge punch
The Twinery Baker's Twine in Carribean
Button from my stash

Today is the last day to submit your project for the August Challenges on the Peachy Keen Connection. If you haven't checked out the challenges there's still time. You can find all the info HERE.

You don't want to miss out on winning some Peachies. So, get creating and add you photos by 11:59 PM cst.

Thank you all for the sweet comments you have left me the last few days. I am truly thankful for each encouraging word.

Hooray! SMS Terrific Tuesday Challenge

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's time for another Terrifuc Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Moms Stamps!

This week's theme is to make something from a Disney Cricut Cartridge. If you don't own one, just find a similar cut from another cartridge or svg.

For my card today I decided to try something new. I made a Surprise Pop Up Card.

This is the front of my card. I used the Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge and cut Piglet.

Here you can see the card with it popped up. It pops up by pulling the tag. I used a tutorial from Split Coast Stampers. It took me a little while to put this together but now that I have done it I know that next time it will be faster. You can find the tutorial --> HERE.

View of the tag.

View of the front. I forgot to take a picture but all the layers are glued to a 4.25 x 5.5 " card base.

My sentiments are from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Hooray for Birthdays."

Here is a look at the set:

You can purchase these stamps --> HERE

Other items used to create this card:

Fiscar Edge Punches ~ scallop punch and grass punch
Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-107 Cloudy Day
Ribbon

Now we want to see your Disney creations. Head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to see what the other designers have created. Then, it's your turn to make something and link up!

Until next time...

Smartie! ~ PKS August Release

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Last evening was the Peachy Keen Stamps Release Party with the reveal of the August Stamp of the Month. If you missed it, no worries! You can check out the new release by visiting the Peachy Keen Stamps Store or Peachy Keen Blog.

Part of the fun for the release party is the challenges. By participating you have the chance of winning some Peachy Keen Stamps. Doesn't that sound fun!

As a designer for PKS, I got to come up with one of the challenges.

For my challenge the requirements are as follows:

1. Make a card with a unique or special fold.
2. Use at least 3 patterned papers.

You have until Wednesday, August 8th, 11:59 PM cst. to link up a card. You can find the challenge thread  here --> Challenge #1

For inspiration I created an easel card:

This is the front of the card when it is folded. I used the new Peachy Keen Stamps PK-126 "Smartie the Owl" for my paper pieced owl and sentiment. The base was created using the scalloped tag from A Child's Year Cricut cartridge.

Here the card and folded so that you can see the inside. The sentiment here is also from PK-126 "Smartie the Owl." I used blue pigment ink to stamp the sentiments. The notebook paper background and pencil are both from the August Stamp of the Month PKSC-08 August 2012. I paper pieced the pencil. All the patterened paper used is from Echo Park's "A Boy's Life."

Here is a close up of the owl and you can also see that I used PK-104 "What time is it??" I inked everything with Ranger distress ink, added a bit of shadow with my Copic markers, and for a final touch I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the glasses.

I just hand cut and created the clipboard. I rounded the edges with and EK Success corner rounder. I also used a Fiscars edge punch to create a scallop boarder.
To finish things off I added some The Twinery's Bakers's Twine in Pea Pod and Lemon Drop.

This last picture is just a side view of the card.

Remember you have until Wednesday, August 8th, 11:59 PM cst. to add to link up! I can't wait to see what you all create! You can get to the challenge by clicking --> HERE.

Thanks for stopping today.

Until next time...

The August Kit contains the following:

42 – sheets 6 x 6 (no duplicates) Time for Spring (fancy pants), Everyday Eclectic, Paradise Beach (Echo Park)
6 – Bazzill white base cardstock
12 – A2 White Envelops

4 – 18” lengths of 4 different Indie Chic Garland
1 – collection of 11 buttons from various Indie Chic collections
3 – Indie Chic Titles
1 – Sheet of Indie Chic Label Stickers
3 – 24” lengths of twine (3 different colors)
This kit is filled with beautiful papers and embellishments. With all this goodness I decided to create a Stack the Deck Mini Album.
WARNING: This will be a picture heavy post!

This paper is gorgeous. All my paper and envelopes are included in the kit. This is the cover of my mini album. I used a fiscars punch for the scallops, Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge to cut my tag, and some embellishment from the August kit. ( button, baker's twine, washi tape)

The Prima flowers and the brad was purschased from the Shop Pumpkin Spice Store.

Here is a close up of some of the detail.

A View from the tip of the album. This album is not my original idea. This is patterned after Laura Denison's Stack the Deck Mini Album that she posted on her blog: The Paper Trail. She makes the most creative albums and I have been a follower of her blog and Youtube channel for quite some time. You can see the post of her Stack the Deck Mini --> HERE

The following are pictures of the beautiful papers that I have used for my pages. I have yet to embellish them. I will be sharing my finished pages throughout the month of August so be sure to come back.

August Peachy Peeks have begun!

Hi Peachy Fans! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

This is my second post for today so make sure you scroll down to see my first post...

Are you ready?

Kathy has done it again! Peachy Keen Stamps is getting ready to release the new August Stamp of the Month and it is FABULOUS!!

I feel so honored to have the priviledge in sharing these projects with you all. I LOVE Peachy Keen Stamps!

For my first project I just had to color up this cute teacher!

I used the new August Stamp of the Month and the August Peachy Picks Kit for this card.

I colored the teacher with my Copics and did some paper piecing for her clothing. For her glasses, I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to make them look like lenses.

I created this chalkboard ( didn't have a die cut for this ) then I stamped some of the sentiments from the August Stamp of the Month in embossing ink, added white embossing powder, zapped it with my heat gun, and Voila! It looks like chalk.

All of my patterned paper and ribbon have come from the August Peachy Picks kit. I LOVE these kits. It makes it so easy to put a fabulous project together.

Head on over to the Peachy Keen Blog to check out what the other designers have created. You are going to love what they have put together!

The Peachy Keen Release Party is scheduled for Sunday, August 5 at 7 PM est on the Peachy Keen Connection site. I hope you will join us!

I'll be back tomorrow with another peek.

Today I am providing inspiration on the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

I have used products that can be purchased from Shop Pumpkin Spice to create an anniversary card for my husband. Yesterday was our 25th wedding anniversary. Wow! The time has flown.

Other items used:
Gypsy Font ( years, welded using my Gypsy)
Elegant Edges ( background shape)
Carousel Cricut Lite ( 25 )
foam tape
Tea Dye Distress Ink

I hope you liked my masculine anniversary card. Remember there is daily inspiration on the Pumpkin Spice Blog. Head on over and become a follower so you don't miss a thing.
