Eat Cake ~ Little Tangles Challenge

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! My husband is redoing our half bath and it is looking so nice. While he is slaving away, I had some time in my craft room to put together a card for one of the Little Tangles Birthday Bash Challenges.

The card I created is for the Eat Cake challenge.

You can use your Neat and Tangled Stamps or if you don't have any Danielle is providing a few digis so you can play along.

For my card I used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6x6 paper pad. I cut and layered in onto a 4.25 x 5.5 card base. I then did some stitching around the edge. I cut to borders out of the the same patterned paper with a scallop border punch. I then layered a strip of white cardstock on top that I had run through my printer using one of the free digis that Little Tangles has provided. I added some Neat Tangled Pretty Pretty Pink Satin Sequins between each phrase.

For my cake, I cut a small rectangle and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then stamped the heart border from Neat Tangled Kindness Matters stamp set in Hero Arts Bubble Gum shadow ink and fussy cut it so that I could add it to the top and bottom of my cake.

My candle is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-106 With a Cherry on Top! I colored it with Copic markers and added Orange Peel and Yellow Stickles to the flame.

It's been a while since I played in any challenges. I really enjoyed putting this card together.

That's it for now.

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

This card won! I am a Top Tangle!!

Project Life Cards with Neat and Tangled

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping  Together!

It's been a busy time at my house with the beginning of school and I know that is the same with many of you.

Tonight I wanted to share a quick project that I created for one of the birthday challenges over at the Little Tangles Blog.

Neat and Tangled has been celebrating all month for its birthday.

Here is what I created for the Project Life challenge on the Little Tangles Blog.

I created two 3x4 journal cards using some patterned paper, Neat and Tangled Stamps and sequins.

For my first card, I used some Echo Park paper and stamped my sentiment with Kindness Matters. I used the little heart border that comes in the set to stamp on some Studio Calico wood veneer butterflies with some Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Bubble Gum. I added some Pretty Pretty Pink Satin Sequins to finish off the card.

For my next card I used the Dreams stamp that I got for free for placing an order. I stamped it the sentiment directly on my patterned paper and then paper pieced the banner. I started with a white banner but it seemed a little too bright so I colored it with my Copic markers. I, then off set it a bit just for some interest.

I punched a few clouds using my Fiscars cloud punches and ran them through my Cuttlebug to emboss them with the D'Vine Swirl folder. I chose some sparkly blue sequins from the Birthday Bash Sequin Assortment pack. Stitching was added with my white gel pen.

I am thrilled to finally join in one of the challenges over at Little Tangles and am hoping to join more.

Well, I am getting this linked up at the last minute, so I will leave you for now.

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

This project got an honorable mention!

Just a Little Spooky! ~ Shop Pumpkin Spice Inspiration

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing inspiration using products that can be found at Shop Pumpkin Spice.

I created a card that goes along with the current challenge on the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

The theme this week is to color.

I do enjoy coloring with my Copic markers so I went in search of this cute image from Penny Black. She is from the Mimi Halloween stamp set. There are several cute dressed up kids in this set and they are all fun to color.

After I colored her I got out my Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor papers and used sever patterns. I distressed them all with my distress tool.

I used a cloud background stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps that I stamped with some grey ink on the patterned paper. I added some Halloween baker's twine and a button and this simple card was complete.

You still have time to join in the challenge this week. You can find all the details HERE.

For My Sweet Friend ~ Scrappy Moms Stamps August Release

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing another project using the newest release from Scrappy Moms Stamps!

This project features sentiments from "Ice Cream Social."

I used a cut file from My Scrap Chick called Canning Jars - Preserves. I didn't use the label that come with the cut file. Instead I cut a white strip to add my sentiment ant then used Scrappy Moms Stamps Chevron and Rick Rack Die to the top and bottom of the label.

I embellished the card with a strawberry that I purchased from the Silhouette store, some baker's twine, and button.

For the inside of the card, I created a pocket for a gift card. It was trimmed with a strip of rick rack cut with the Chevron and Rick Rack Die. I added another sentiment from "Ice Cream Social."

Here's another look at this new set:

This set, as well as, "Happy Mail" are both in stock and ready to ship!

Hurry over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to get yours!

Until next time...

Sending Happy Thoughts ~ SMS Terrific Tuesday Challenge

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Here is what I created with Back to School in mind:

I used a cut file from My Scrap Chick that can be found HERE.

Ribbon and a flower were added for embellishment. I used a sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Dancing in Circles 2." I thought it was a perfect sentiment to go with a treat to be stored inside this back to school box.

Now head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps Blog to see what my fellow designers have created and join us in the challenge!

Hot Diggity Dog! ~ Peachy Keen Stamps Inspiration

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today is my turn to provide inspiration on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. Check out what I've been up to!

I have been playing with the August Stamp Release and have a fun card to share.

Isn't this puppy the cutest!! I colored the puppy, hat, dog house, and dog dish with my Copic markers. These images are all from PKSC-20 August 2013.

Since it is the puppy's party, I thought he should have a treat so I stamped the hot dog from PK-114 Hot Diggity Dog stamp set and added it to his dish. Of course, I used the sentiment from this set, also! I seemed to be the perfect fit!

This was great fun to put together!

Thank you all for stopping!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!!

Something a Little Different!

Happy Sunday!

Today I am just dropping in real quick because I wanted to participate in a challenge over on the Little Tangles Blog.

If you haven't heard Neat and Tangles is celebrating its 1 year birthday with a month long party!

Challenge 19 is to create something delicious that you would take to a party.

Well, it just so happens that my daughter's 17th birthday was yesterday and she requested Chocolate Eclair Cake. She loves it!

Chocolate Eclair Cakes is not really cake at all but layers of graham crackers and French vanilla pudding, topped with a chocolate glaze.

Here is the recipe if you are interested:

I am new to Neat and Tangled Stamps and so far I love what I see. I ordered my first set last week, along with some yummy sequins. Danielle ships super fast, too!! Now I just need to find time to play!!

I'll be back tomorrow with some Peachy Keen Inspiration so see you then!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

Today is an exciting day because Scrappy Moms Stamps is releasing 2 brand new stamps sets!

My card today is created with the brand new Scrappy Moms Stamps "Happy Mail" set.

This card came together quickly. When I saw this sentiment I knew what I wanted to do. First I printed a map on some white cardstock. I then used an EK Success Film Strip punch and added a piece of white cardstock that I had run through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

I added some Studio Calico wood veneers in each opening. The label for my sentiment was cut from the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge. I finished my card off with a black gem and some Charcoal Twinery Baker's Twine.

Now have a look at the new stamps!

Both of these sets are in stock and ready to ship!!

I, along with my fellow designers, will be showcasing these stamps over the next week. We, also, have a guest designer joining us this month. Be sure to check out Candy's designs from Candy's Craft Corner and leave her some love!

School Days

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the last days of summer vacation if you still have it. School starts on August 26th here so we are getting busy getting ready.

Today I wanted to share a card I created for the Back to School Challenge on the Peachy Keen Connection.

I am a little late posting as the challenge ended yesterday. Sorry...

I love this teacher from PKSC-08 August 2012. I colored her with Copic makers and paper-pieced her clothing. I added some Glossy Accents to her glasses to give them a realistic look.

That face was perfect to go with the howling puppy from PK-1334 Howling Puppy stamp. I colored my puppy with Copic markers and paper-pieced his handkerchief. The sentiment is also from this same stamp set. I heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Well, that's it for my little card today.

I hope you'll come back later this week to see the new release from Scrappy Moms Stamps!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

I am adding this to the following challenge:

I Adore You ~ Shop Pumpkin Spice Inspiration

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a little Shop Pumpkin Spice inspiration here and on the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

If you haven't noticed there is a trend happening now for CAS (Clean and Simple) cards. I am not usually clean and simple. :) I love adding layers and such but today I thought I would give it a try. I'm not sure how CAS this card is but I like the way it came out.

For my card today, I started with a piece of Bazzill 8.5" x 11" Classic White cardstock. I cut it in half and then scored it to measure 4.25" x 5.5" and rounded the corners. I stamped the card with a hexagon background stamps and used a hexagon die to cut some pretty patterns from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline "Dolled Up" paper. I randomly placed the cut hexagons on the card.

My sentiment is from Paper Smooches "We Connect" set. Once I placed my sentiment the way I wanted it I stamped it with Momento Black Ink. For some interest I added some sequins and then tied some "Honeydew" Baker's Twine around my card.

Make sure you check out all the great products that Shop Pumpkin Spice has to offer HERE and HERE.

There's still time to enter into the Pumpkin Spice "Sunshine" Challenge. You can find all the details HERE.

I used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye "School Daze" 6x6 paper pad. The rick rack was created with the newest die from Scrappy Moms Stamps called "Chevron and Rick Rack Die." I LOVE this die!!

Here is a look at the Scrappy Moms Stamps products I used"

Feeling Ruff? ~ Peachy Keen Stamps August Peek

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Did you have a good weekend? I did! It's nice to have some time with my husband without the distractions of the world. :)

Today I am sharing another peek of Peachy Keen Stamps August Release.

For this card I used the cute puppy from the August Stamp of the Month PKSC-August 2013.

This puppy is the cutest!!  I colored him with my Copics and did a little texturizing. I love the way he came out. I embossed the background with the Cuttlebug See Spots embossing folder and added a strip of white cardstock that I stamped with PK-1331 Dog Background using some Hero Arts shadow ink.

Now I couldn't have a puppy without a fire hydrant! The fire hydrant was cut from the Four Legged Friends Cricut Lite cartridge. I added yellow rick rack that I cut using Scrappy Moms Stamps Cheveron and Rick Rack Die. I added some baker's twine and button top finish off my card.

The sentiment is from PKSC-20 August 2013. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Here is a closer look at this cute puppy!!

I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes for some shine.

Added another strip of Rick Rack to the inside and stamped it with the second part of the sentiment. The dog paws were stamped from PK-1331 Dog Background.

This is my last peek!

Meow, I miss you! ~ Peachy Keen Stamps August Sneak Peek

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

If you are looking for the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop scroll down or click  HERE.

Tonight I am sharing another peek at Peachy Keen Stamps August release.

For today's card, I used another kitty.

I used the kitty head, face, paws, and sentiment are from PKSC-20 August 2013 Stamp of the Month. I colored my kitty with my Copics and added Glossy Accents to her eyes.

The card base was stamped with PK-188 Brick Wall Background. The window and the curtains are files that I purchase from the Silhouette Store. I thought the patterned papers from My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing "Lavender" collection would make pretty wallpaper and curtains. Inked everything with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The card was still lacking something so I decided to add a branch from the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge.

For the inside of the card I used a shape from Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge and stamped it with a sentiment for PKSC-20 August 2013 and a sentiment from PK-1334 Howling Puppy. The pay is from
PK-1332 Cat Background.

There are more sneak peeks on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog! Go check them out!

Also, Monday, August 5th, at 7:00 PM there will be a release party over at the Peachy Keen Connection. You won't to miss it. There will be games and challenges with chances to win some prizes!

I will be back Monday with another peek!

Until then...

Sunny Smiles ~ Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today is the first Saturday of the month so that means it is time for the monthly Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop! All of the designers have created projects using products found at Shop Pumpkin Spice.

If you have arrived here from Carissa's blog: Happily Ever Papercrafter then you are in the right place. If you just happened upon my blog and would like to start from the beginning then head on over the Heather's Blog: Houses Built of Cards.

This week's Pumpkin Spice Challenge is "Sunshine."  Using that theme I created a shaped card for you today.

For my card, I used a paper-piecing file from Treasure Box Designs called Tiny Treasures (Sun). I opened the file in my Silhouette Designer's Edition software and grouped the images together, welded them, and created a shadow to create the base of my card. Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut the base of my card out of Bazzill Kraft cardstock.

Here you see the card from the side.

For the sun I used patterned paper from Carta Bella Traditions 6x6 paper pad. I inked the edges of the sun with Ranger Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade. I popped the top part of the sun on one thickness of foam tape and the nose is popped on one thickness of foam tape. I added Glossy Accents to the eyes and sunglasses. The smile is hand drawn and I chalked the cheeks.

My clouds were cut from My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side Two 6x6 paper pad. I inked the edges with baby blue pigment ink and ran them through the Cuttlebug with the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder.

I stamped a sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Beach Bums" set.

I finished the card off with some faux stitching and it was complete!

You can find many great products from the Shop Pumpkin Spice Store and from the Pumpkin Spice Ebay Store. Check them out!

I hope you will join us in the challenge this week! You can find all the details on the Pumpkin Spice Blog!

Now it's time to head on over to Court's blog: Court's Crafts. She has something fabulous for you to see!

Meow ~ Peachy Keen Stamps August Sneak Peek

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!
Tonight I am share a sneak peek of the upcoming August release from Peachy Keen Stamps.
The images that Kathy created are definitely for those that love their pets. These images are adorable!! Kathy never disappoints!
The project I am sharing today was actually a collaboration between my husband and I. You see, we have a fur baby that loves to bring us presents so this card was inspired by her.

I started by creating my card base in my Silhouette Designer Edition software. I just used various shapes to create the door, window, and layers. I then cut it all out with my Silhouette. I stamped the front of my card with a sentiment from PKSC-20 August 2013 Stamp of the Month. I added the little paws from PK-1332 Kitty Background Stamp.

I, also, stamped the inside of the door with the kitty background stamp and then went on to create the scene.

I used PK-107 Cloudy Day background for my sky. I cut strips of Kraft cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug with Paper Studio's Wood Grain embossing folder. Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo was added to make it look real. I added a strip of grass using the Fiscars Grass Punch.

The kitty comes from PK- 1333 Faceless Puppy and Faceless Kitty.  I colored her with my Copics and added Glossy Accents to her eyes. The mouse (present) was also colored with my Copics. My husband suggested that I "X "out the eye just like you see in cartoons. The  kitty's face, mouse, and sentiments are all from PKSC-20 August 2013.

I have a few more projects to share over the next few days. So be sure to check back.

And don't forget to join us for the August Release Party, Monday, August 5th, at 7 PM est. over at Peachy Keen Connection.

Now head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog to see all the sneak peeks my fellow design team sisters have created. You will be in awe!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!
